The stock does not match the balance; the money in the cash register does not equal the sold products. Is this a case of careless accounting, or has the staff been stealing? Christ & Partners works towards a solution. Placing cameras and doing test purchases bring light to the case. Another (supplemental) possibility is tracing/observing those involved to record suspicious acts, for example selling, storing, and stealing goods. After studying the gathered evidence, our advice is to interview those involved, in order to close the case with a confession. Computer data theftMore often, company data is digitally stored and exchanged (via a company network, e-mail, and Internet). This data can easily and without the permission of the employer, be copied for own purposes, which can cause great damage to the company. Christ & Partners investigates how this can happen. Who has unlawfully copied these data? How did it happen? To whom was this information passed on? In many cases, (digital) traces are left behind. The hard disc and e-mail traffic can be searched for traces. Those involved can be questioned in order to shed light to the case. |
